Our Unfolding Journey
The Experience
Our cofounders come with a cumulative 15 + years of experience in social, government and education sectors working across the length and breadth of the country to build a better India. During this journey they came to a realization that data can be used better to scale up social impact as lack of data is a huge impediment to being effective and efficient.
The Observation
As they saw an acute need for data and tech based solutions to improve the existing people driven domains, they saw a delivery and fulfillment gap that was not filled by any off the shelf solutions. This led to intense market research on existing challenges and proposed solutions, yet none could capture their imagination with holistic approach to these domains.
The Initiative
That’s when Asilia was born. The aim of Asilia is to create “High quality Data-Tech brand with low prices and good ethics”. There exists a notion that to build great companies requires ruthlessness but we at Asilia believe that creating an Ecosystem of confident stakeholders, in-depth research and innovative solutions can result into a more Valuable Organisation and Society.

Sonakshi Agarwal
Director
Sonakshi is the Director of Asilia Technologies. She has an Economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania and holds the position of a Trustee in Sterlite Tech Foundation.
Passionate about access to education, she is a director at EdIndia foundation focused on creating better teachers for the future generations.
She is the North star to Asilia as it embarks on a mission to create value based growth for education, NGO and Government Domain.

Antony Nellissery
Advisor
Antony is Director for Asilia and Head of EdIndia Foundation. Prior to the current role, he worked with organizations like Bharti Foundation, Save the Children, UNICEF, and Sight Savers International.
Having graduated from IRMA, Gujarat, Antony’s commitment to the development of children is evident in everything he does. He has authored “The Skills Edge”, a book intended to promote the ‘skills approach’ in school education.
His Domain expertise is an invaluable tool in Asilia’s attempt to make data accessible for decision making to education, NGO and Government Domain.

Varun Bhamre
Director
Varun has headed Asilia Technologies from its inception with passion to bridge the data/technology gap between the education, NGO and Government Domain.
Varun has experience in supply chain, consulting and technology industries and has been integral to designing visual dashboards and recommendations to aid in the decision-making process of government systems across various states.
He is passionate about improvement in health, education and the environment through digital inclusion in India. When he is not immersed deep in statistics, Varun loves to embark on long bicycling rides to de-stress and keep fit.
